I'm a big fan of clear, firm communication. When you say exactly what you want—without any wavering, defensiveness, or apologizing—things tend to go pretty smoothly.

With that said, here are my business policies! 

ADVICE

It probably goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway… I’m not a physician, a psychologist, or any kind of mental health professional. Make no mistake. I am an expert at what I do. I've got the street cred, the experience, the skills and the qualifications, but when I share advice here on my website, I’m speaking from my personal perspective, not from a medical perspective. Please take that into account. Don’t sue me and stuff. Also, please get all the support that you need in order to thrive. Take good care of yourself.

AFFILIATE LINKS

Once in a while I might provide a link to a product or service I believe deeply in. If you click on a link that I’ve provided, it might be a link to someone who will give me a commission if you buy something from their site. That means that I might get paid if you click on that link. I’m telling you this is because I want to be upfront with you and because it’s illegal not to. That said, I promise to use any affiliate commissions earned for good causes: things like reinvesting in this business to bring you even better resources.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS

Oh no! You registered for one of my events but now you can’t come? That sucks.

Here’s what can happen next:

- If my event is being hosted externally — meaning a group, organization or yoga centre is handling the collection of money for an event I've listed on my website — you will have to connect with them to understand what their cancellation and refund policies are. 

- If I am hosting the event myself — meaning my team and I are handling the collection of money for an event listed on my website — you can:

A) Give your ticket to a friend, family member or colleague who can attend in your place. 

B) Sell your ticket to a friend, family member or colleague who can attend in your place. 

C) Receive "store credit" for your ticket. This means that, while you will not receive a refund for your ticket, you can purchase other services from me until you use up the credit on file. 

The only thing you cannot do is ask for a refund. That's not an option. I don't offer refunds for cancellations except in very extreme and unusual circumstances — things like hospitalization, emergency surgery, etc. This is a firm rule. Thank you for understanding. 

PRIVACY

If you sign up for my newsletter, your email address is stored in a secure piece of software called MailChimp. I will never share your email address with anyone, ever. Pinky swear. 

RE-PUBLISHING POLICY

If you see something on my website that resonates with you — like an article, video blog or a free worksheet — and you want to re-publish the material on your blog, for example, that’s awesome! I’m honoured that you like my work.

However, please email me first to get permission before putting my work into your next book, e-course, and whatnot. You can contact me here. (I almost always say, “Sure! Yes!” but I appreciate being asked.)
